Karambit Knife - One of the Deadliest Knives

A karambit knife is an exotic knife that is said to be originated from Indonesia and if you like such sharp and deadly knives, then a karambit knife is the best option for you. A karambit knife has initially used a tool to be used in farms for agricultural purposes but now it is used mainly in fights and combats because of its small size and deadly blade. Let us have a look at the design of a karambit knife.

Design and Structure of a Karambit Knife

A karambit knife is distinguished from all other knives due to its blade. It has a c-shaped blade that looks like the claw of a tiger. This curved blade is its most distinguishing feature so whenever you see a knife with a blade like this, immediately recognize it as a karambit knife. This curved blade makes this knife very effective for piercing and slashing and make it a very bad choice for thrusting and stabbing at the same time.

It is a small knife and can be carried in pockets easily, however, don’t let its small size fool you as it can prove to be deadly and fatal. A karambit knife is known to slash even through the hardest and toughest of things, tearing them apart with a single touch of its blade. The blade is razor sharp and it is said that when it slashes through the human flesh, it tears its way into the tendons and tissues of the human flesh and inflicts severe injuries, cuts and heavy bleeding. Karambit knives come as fixed blade knives and as pocket knives as well. Pocket knives allow you to carry them easily and safely around as they are the folding knives whereas fixed blade karambit knives are more strong and durable than the pocket karambit knives.
